ABOUT PARENTWORX®

ParentWoRx and The Bravo Effect® is a specific framework for cultivating and sustaining relationships. It is for individuals, couples, families, and groups in which interpersonal interaction is expected. The Bravo Effect provides the framework for developing authentic relationships and empathic regulation. It is based on 3 foundational beliefs and 5 core components. Because the model is all encompassing, it is applicable to individuals, families, groups, and systems. When the 5 core components are in flow with one another, there is evidence of intrinsic regulation and balance. When they are out of flow, there is disregulation or disharmony. The model offers 7 integrating tools that are designed to get you back in flow and back to balance and harmony.

3 Foundational Beliefs:

  1. We learn through DOING: Mastery is crucial to the learning process.
  2. We retain through FEELING: Our feeling about an experience shape our mindset.
  3. We transform through BEING: Intentional Awareness is how we grow from experiences.

The 5 Core Components: Each component has a very specific function that is integral to successful interpersonal development. When these 5 core components are in sync they evoke sustained change, streamlined assimilation of new skills, and mastery.

The 5 core components are:

  • Behavior is the outward expression of our internal harmony/disharmony.
  • Relationship is the result of how we engage through connection both with others and ourselves.
  • Attitude embodies how we approach our challenges.
  • Value encompasses our worldview as it relates to what we desire, how we see and are seen, and what compels us to evolve.
  • Optimism is our impression of hopefulness and enthusiasm as we evaluate our future life’s course.

Here is what actual clients have said about Lisa:

“Lisa has a way of getting through the smoke and mirrors and helping us really fight for the marriage we have today. There is no question we would not be together today without her fearless guidance.”

-Bart & Michelle, Phoenix, AZ

“I could go on and on about Lisa’s approach to our once very complicated son. Lisa is truly a miracle worker and our family and our son feel blessed to have had her in our life. Thanks!”

-Mother of a thirteen year old son

“For years we knew that something was different with our youngest daughter. She had an incredibly difficult time fitting in and connecting with her peers. Lisa was the first counselor that really “got” her and help her truly express herself and helped us truly understand how to reach her.”

-Ellen & Tom, San Francisco, California

“When we came to see Lisa for marriage counseling, she was our last chance. Lisa helped us understand the dysfunctional patterns in our relationship, identify and reconstruct new ones and fall in love again! 3 years later we are more in love than ever and expected our 4th child.”

–Jenna & Ed, Phoenix, AZ.

“I was sent to see Lisa after leaving the NFL. I had a host of injuries, a lot of pain, I was hooked on pain meds, and my marriage was falling apart. I was in a bad way but I learned how to live an everyday life, cope with my sh** and get on with my life. I will forever be grateful for your compassion, wisdom and down-to-earth approach. It also helped that you knew nothing about the game-nor did you care! Thanks for the launch…”

-D.H., Chicago, Ill.

“We thought we were going to have to send our son to a boot camp school for trouble kids. Our son was out of control, refusing to go to school, and smoking marijuana. When he got arrested we decided our only option was to send him away. A friend told us “Lisa had a magic touch with teenagers.” We are so thankful we listened because not only did she get our son turned around, she taught us how to set clear boundaries, define expectations, and have healthy conversations. She made parenting fun again. We credit Lisa (and she credits us) with getting our family back! Alex is now attending college and thriving!”

– Kristina & Calvin, Phoenix, AZ.

ParentWoRx™ Counseling Process

As a solution-focused therapist, Lisa’s goal is to help individuals uncover their true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, she helps unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding clients back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Lisa offers individual, couple, or family counseling and coaching services in office, as well as via phone or Skype.

Below is the format for how we structure therapeutic intervention. The evaluation is seen through the prism of the 5 Core Components of:

  • Behavior-What is the function of the behavior?
  • Relationships-How is the problem being expressed through relationship?
  • Attitudes- What is my view of the problem and how does it effect the problem?
  • Values- What is the value system effecting how the problem is viewed
  • Optimism-What role does optimism play in the dynamic?
  • While we utilize a standard intake process, we see every dynamic through this framework. It provides a comprehensive framework for developing a comprehensive and results-based platform for change.
